Team - Donald L. Murfin

Mr. Murfin is a seasoned
venture capitalist with over 20 years of venture capital financing and
operating company experience. During the 80's, Mr. Murfin founded and
headed Lubrizol Enterprises, Inc., a wholly owned venture development
and investment holding subsidiary of The Lubrizol Corporation. During
a 9-year period, Lubrizol Enterprises invested approximately $100 million
in 21 venture investments, $28 million in acquisitions and $31 million
in research and development collaborations. In 1989, Mr. Murfin joined
New Enterprise Associates (NEA), one of the industry's premier venture
capital funds. He and his partners formed Chemicals and Materials Enterprises
Associates (CMEA), a $40 million venture capital fund that had 28 portfolio
companies. In addition to being general partner of CMEA, he was a special
partner in other NEA funds and served on the NEA medical and health care
investment committee. He earned an undergraduate degree in Organic Chemistry,
and has post-graduate work in organic chemistry and business management. |
